About the Role
The Lead Bartender is responsible for overseeing bar operations, maintaining a high-quality beverage program, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role includes leadership of bar staff, inventory oversight, and maintaining efficiency during peak service.
Responsibilities Include:
-Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, and beer with consistency
-Lead and mentor bartenders and bar support staff
-Manage inventory, ordering, and bar stock levels
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area
-Ensure compliance with alcohol service regulations
-Contribute to cocktail development and seasonal offerings
-Provide warm, engaging guest interactions
Requirements
1+ years of Bartending experience
Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails
Experience managing bar inventory and ordering
Ability to lead and mentor bar staff
Strong guest engagement and hospitality skills
Responsible alcohol service knowledge
Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Servsafe certification or willing to get one

The Ellison Inn & Lounge is a family-owned boutique inn and lounge in Door County, Wisconsin, blending mid-century character with modern hospitality. We operate a 15-room inn and an active lounge, and are excited to introduce our new on-site restaurant, White Pine Supper Club, opening in May 2026, serving both locals and visitors in one of Wisconsin’s most popular tourist destinations.
